Team India captain Virat Kohli is struggling to get things going. It has been quite some time since he has played a big knock and he is not his usual self while batting in the middle.
In the ongoing test series against New Zealand, Kohli has played disappointing knocks in both the innings.
While Kohli got out for just 2 runs in the first innings, he managed to score 19 in the second one. With star batsman Rohit Sharma injured, the onus was on Kohli to deliver on the big stage but that wasn’t to be.
Virat Kohli, by far, is the best batsman in the side and it is of utmost importance that he performs well if India is to win the test series.
The team India scorecard presently reads 115-4 and the visitors are trailing by 68 runs. Rahane and Vihari are at the crease.
